Marine civil engineering
Creating the future foundation of the sea, thoroughly and broadly.
Our marine civil engineering business does work in Japan but also considers foreign waters.
Moricho can provide the solution. Yutaka No. 1 is a top example of how we continue to pave the way for the future in the sea based on specialized ships and our technical ability and know-how for operating them.
- 01
Challenges as a pioneer of marine development. - Moricho has developed advanced technical skills and know-how for operating ships over many years. We have developed the ability to identify and avoid risks and take difficult jobs that other companies avoid, making the impossible possible. We have pride and confidence as an industry leader, and we are involved in planning many marine development projects.

- 02
We have one of the largest specialty fleets in Japan. - We are unique because we have one of the largest fleets of specialty vessels in Japan, including the largest fully-rotating 1,800 t high-tech work ship in Japan. In addition to our specialty vessels, we also introduce advanced techniques and architecture methods that improve the performance of straight pile, slant pile, and steel pipe pile installation and are suitable for diverse types of architecture such as excavating hard ground and drilling/removing obstructions.

- 03
Technical innovations for future marine development. - We help reduce the environmental burden by possessing environmentally-friendly vessels, such as a concrete-plant ship that has processing equipment with sound and vibration measures to reduce the sound and vibration of the hydraulic hammer and prevent the release of excess concrete into the ocean and a crane ship with an IMO (International Maritime Organization) certified engine that reduces the release of greenhouse gases. Even if oil is released by hydraulic architecture equipment, we use oil that can be broken down by natural microorganisms to minimize pollution in the natural environment.

- 04
An expert group focused on the world's seas. - With our superior technical capabilities and know-how, we complete numerous difficult jobs with a wide range of solutions, such as architecture management and technical proposals, including those never before seen in Japan, such as the architecture of a water flap gate. Our advanced technical capabilities and know-how and solid teamwork are our strengths as we continue to watch the world's seas.
